The 64-hour Master of Arts in Exegetical Theology
degree program comes with the choice of two distinct concentrations,
the choice of which is determined by individual student interests
and ministry goals. Each concentration, of course, has its own course
requirements. The summary below reflects a generic program overview.
All students are encouraged to work closely with their academic
advisor to determine specific course selection and distance education
availability.
The Master of Arts in Exegetical Theology is
a two-year degree program. As an accredited member of the Association
of Theological Schools, Western Seminary requires that the equivalent
of one year's courses be completed on a Western Seminary campus.
That means that up to 1/2 of the degree program can be taken by
distance education or advanced standing.
