The library at Western Seminary San Jose has numerous online journal articles available for research, about 6,000 library books and various Bible software on our library computers for use by our students. Over 5,000 books are listed on our online library database at the link below. You may also access our online catalog on our computers in the library. Reference books are typically not cataloged online. Library hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. The library is also open when evening and Saturday classes are in session. Western provides students with full access from any web connection to five leading religion and psychology databases through EBSCOhost, plus seven other search engines to choose from.
- – more than 1 million records from theological journals, essays, book reviews, etc. covering Biblical studies, world religions, church history and religious perspectives on social issues from 1949 to present.
- – offering 300 full text journals, coverage of such topics as world religions, major denominations, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy. It is an essential tool for researchers and students of theology and philosophical studies.
- – More than 2.4 million citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations and technical reports in psychology and related disciplines from 1800's to present, including international material.
- – contains nearly 575 full text publications, including nearly 550 peer-reviewed titles on topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.
- – more than 134,000 articles from 63 journals covering peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology, 50 published by the American Psychological Association (APA).
Registered
students may access the above from home. Please note that by contract
these databases are for use by current Western students and faculty
only. Registered students will receive the password and ID to access
these databases.

students will have the opportunity to receive training from the branch
