Why Credible? Western Seminary is recognized and accredited by both the Association of Theological Schools and Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. These affiliations protect the integrity of our academic programs and degrees giving students peace of mind as they pursue their academic endeavors. Further, our Master of Arts in Counseling and Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy degree programs meet the necessary state licensure requirements.
Beyond accreditation, each faculty member comes highly recognized with a solid reputation and professional track record for teaching in their chosen subjects. All professors are intensely committed to local church ministry, many as teaching elders, if not pastors or interim pastors; the counseling faculty are all active and licensed counselors; the missions faculty are all well respected and experienced missionaries who continue to do missions work outside of the United States many times a year.
